Barbershops
A loyalty card for haircuts at your barbershop
At a barbershop, an eligible visit could be a completed haircut or another service chosen by the owner. With Iterum, you define the rule, threshold and reward; customers open a web card from a QR code and authorised staff scans it to confirm the visit. Iterum does not read the appointment book, service duration or receipt.
Haircut, beard trim or both: write the rule
A haircut might earn a stamp while a short trim does not, or the shop may choose a different rule. These are examples only. Explain your choice before customers join and train every shift. If services with very different prices earn the same stamp, do not present it as a percentage of spend.
| Service | Possible rule | Clarify first |
|---|---|---|
| Haircut | Stamp after a completed haircut | Who confirms the visit |
| Beard service | Include only when stated in the rule | Whether one visit earns one stamp |
| Package | Define an eligible completed service | No automatic price reading |
Test the flow before displaying the QR
Put the QR in the waiting area or by the payment desk, where the customer can open the card without being rushed. After a qualifying service, staff scans the card and records a stamp. Test redemption with two phones too. Joining and confirming visits require a connection; a booked appointment is not a completed service.
Set a reward the shop can afford
Calculate the reward’s actual cost and assess a threshold using real customer intervals. Haircuts, beard work and treatments may have different values, so one rule may mislead. Try the reward calculator and programme guide.
A design example, not a customer case
The barbershop card preview uses invented demo data. It is an illustration, not evidence that a real shop uses Iterum or has achieved results.
Frequently asked questions
- Can a booked appointment earn a stamp automatically?
- No. This page describes a stamp after a qualifying completed service, confirmed by staff. Iterum does not read the calendar.
- Does the customer install an app?
- No. The card opens as a web page from a QR code or link.
- Does the card automatically distinguish haircut and beard services?
- No. The shop defines the rule and staff decides whether a completed visit qualifies.
