No app required
Open the loyalty card with a QR code, no download
A no-app loyalty card removes installation. Iterum's QR or link opens enrolment through a form with a required checkbox relating to the privacy notice. Name and recovery contact are optional. The web card appears on their phone without a password account. Staff scan visits to add stamps. A Wallet pass may be added when available.
The first visit on a phone
Place the QR code where customers can see it at the counter. They scan with the phone camera and open the enrolment page in a browser. There is no app-store search or password; the short form includes a required checkbox relating to the privacy notice.
They may add a display name and choose an email or phone for recovery, but both are optional. After confirmation, the web card is accessible on the phone and they can save the link.
Staff remain in control of stamps
The customer shows the card code. An authorised staff member opens the till page on their phone or tablet, scans and records the visit. The updated stamp then appears on the customer card.
The staff page requires access: customers cannot award themselves stamps. See how it works for the owner's steps.
Browser and Wallet serve different purposes
The web card is the basic no-download access point. Apple Wallet and Google Wallet are optional ways to save the card when the relevant pass is available and the device supports it.
Check that the add-to-Wallet button is present on the card before offering that route to a customer; the web link remains the starting point.
