Passtastic alternative: prices, staff, POS and Wallet compared

Passtastic and Iterum put the loyalty card on the customer’s phone, with no app to download and no paper. They differ in how you pay, how staff work, the links to the till and the supplier. The table shows what each service states on its public pages on 1 November 2026; for Passtastic the pricing page prevails, which is also where its terms point.

We did not create a Passtastic account or try the service: the information comes from the public pages listed in the sources at the end and from Iterum’s pricing page.

How much does Passtastic cost in 2026, and Iterum?

Passtastic costs €19 a month excluding VAT, or €171 a year, and you add only what you need to that base. The four packs cost €9 a month each, or €29 together. Customers, stamps, rewards and Wallet push notifications stay unlimited either way; what you pay for is SMS and the 0.99% on online sales, plus Stripe fees.

Iterum works the other way round: three fixed-price plans that grow with new customers, active cards and messages. Base costs €29.99 a month plus VAT, or €299.90 a year, twelve months for the price of ten. On every plan total customers are unlimited, and passing the monthly threshold does not block sign-ups. The reward you give away is a separate cost: the reward cost calculator shows its weight on each visit, and other services are compared on how much a loyalty card costs.

Does Passtastic cost €39 or €19? What changed in its pricing

Passtastic changed its price list between 18 October and 1 November 2026: the Single Location, Multi-Location and Groups & Brands plans have given way to a €19 base price with packs and items to add. The entry price fell, but some features that used to be in the plan now cost extra. According to the same page, anyone already paying for Passtastic keeps their plan at their price for as long as they want.

Not all its pages agree yet. On 1 November the home page still says «Da €39 / mese» (from €39 a month), the scanner page speaks of 3, 9 and 30 scanners per plan, the integrations page puts the POS link on every plan and the notifications page includes birthday messages at no extra cost. We follow the pricing page, because that is where the terms of service point for plans and prices: before you sign up, ask them to confirm whatever you depend on.

What you spend in the first year with Passtastic or Iterum: 6 cases

On the new price list Passtastic costs less in almost every case, often by a lot: Iterum Base comes out cheaper in only one, with five phones at the counter on monthly billing. The items to add up do grow with the business, though: scanners, logins, packs and locations. Run the sums with your own numbers rather than comparing entry prices.

When Passtastic may be the better choice

Passtastic makes sense if you want to spend little and pay only for what you use: €19 a month buys the card, unlimited customers and unlimited push, against €29.99 for Iterum Base. It also suits several locations, since each extra one costs €15 a month against €23.99, and anyone who wants a long look first: 14 days with every pack and no payment card, against our 7 with a card required.

It also has features Iterum lacks. With the €9 pack, points come from the sale, without staff entering them, if you use Square, Lightspeed, Holded, Odoo, Loggro or Siigo. There are tiers, coupons, gift cards, memberships and online sales through your own Stripe account, table bookings included, nearby reminders for up to 10 places per card, and Google review requests. Prepaid packages, which start at Pro on Iterum, are already in the base price here. If you need these features, Passtastic already has them.

Passtastic alternatives: where Iterum differs

Iterum (by FIDUS) has a price that does not change with the people at the counter. Every plan includes accounts for the whole team, with roles and permissions and no user limit, and «Al banco» runs in the Iterum app or in the browser of a phone, tablet or computer, so it also works on the till’s computer with nothing to install. With Passtastic each device beyond the two included scanners costs €4 a month: that matters with shifts, seasonal staff or several tills.

Base already includes the refer-a-friend programme and one active automation, for example to win back lost customers or send birthday messages, which sit in €9-a-month packs at Passtastic. Site, prices, terms and support are in Italian and the supplier is FIDUS S.R.L., based in Rome; Passtastic’s terms are in English under Estonian law. On yearly billing you pay ten months out of twelve.

In exchange it costs more for one location, has a shorter trial with a payment card required, 2, 4 or 8 written messages a month per location instead of unlimited push, no POS link, no bookings and no location reminders; if you sign up more than 300 new customers a month it suggests Pro, which costs a lot more. The steps, from QR code to reward, are in how Iterum works.

Points from the till or points from staff: what changes at the counter?

With Passtastic linked to a supported till, stamps and points come from the sale, as long as the customer is on the receipt; without the €9-a-month pack, staff scan the card or enter points from the dashboard, as with Iterum. Before you choose, check that your till is among those the price list names: Square, Lightspeed X-Series, Odoo, Holded, Loggro and Siigo.

With Iterum staff enter the points from the receipt, or you use a stamp card that counts visits and asks for no sums. When each works best is explained in stamps or points; what linking a loyalty card to the till takes is on loyalty card and POS.

Messages and automations: what does the customer receive?

Passtastic sends free, unlimited push notifications to the Wallet, to everyone, a group or one customer; for birthday, «we miss you» and «almost there» automations the price list shows the €9-a-month pack, while the notifications page says birthday messages are included on every plan. Messages also stay in the customer’s «loyalty app».

Iterum has a stated limit: 2, 4 or 8 messages you write each month per location, of up to 140 characters, and 1, 2 or 4 active automations depending on the plan, including «Buon compleanno», «Ci manchi» and «Premio da ritirare» (reward to collect), with at most one automatic message every 3 days per customer. Promotional ones reach only customers who accepted offers, as explained in loyalty card GDPR. If writing to customers often is your priority, Passtastic gives you more here.

Passtastic reviews: what you can check today

Anyone looking for Passtastic reviews finds customer stories on its own site, chosen by the vendor, and listings on comparison sites such as Capterra and Software Advice, which we did not use for this page: if you read them, check the date, because a listing may still show the old price. Passtastic states more than 3,000 businesses in over 30 countries; that is its own figure, not verified by us. The Passtastic Scanner app is on the Italian App Store at version 2.4.0 of 23 September 2026 and on 1 November had no ratings to show, which is no verdict on the product.

The same standard applies to Iterum, which does not publish customer reviews on these pages. The most useful test is a normal shift, with a customer’s phone and the phone of whoever stamps: Passtastic gives you 14 days with no payment card, Iterum 7 with a card required to activate.

Passtastic or Iterum: which suits your business?

The work at the counter matters more than the supplier’s name. Here are the commonest cases, based on the public information of 1 November 2026; for individual sectors there are guides for cafés, beauty salons and gyms.

Is there a free Passtastic alternative?

Passtastic has no permanent free plan, and neither does Iterum: the first offers a 14-day trial with no payment card, the second a 7-day free trial, with a card required to activate and €0 to pay today. Other services have a free tier limited by customers, cards or operations: you will find them, with sources, on free digital loyalty card and in the 2026 buyer’s guide.

How to switch from Passtastic to Iterum without losing customers

Iterum does not describe an automatic import of customers from other services: you switch at the counter, one visit at a time. Before you cancel, close out what customers have already paid for or nearly completed.

  • Download the customer list before you cancel: the current price list shows import and export in the base price; if you are on an older plan, check your dashboard.
  • Set a date and, for a few weeks, accept both cards: anyone with a nearly full card completes it on Passtastic.
  • If you sold gift cards, multi-visit passes or memberships, let them run out before closing: Iterum does not handle gift cards or memberships, and new packages, from Pro, are sold at the counter with Iterum.
  • From their next visit customers join Iterum from the QR code at the counter; for the sign and the line at the till, follow the plan in how to promote a loyalty card.
  • Cancel once the open cards are closed: Passtastic’s monthly plans can be cancelled at any time, but the terms exclude refunds.
  • If you write to customers to announce the change, respect the consent each one gave, with Passtastic as with Iterum.

Sources and last check

Last check: 1 November 2026. Official Passtastic sources: pricing, Italian home and FAQs, loyalty cards, scanner app, notifications, integrations, selling in advance, how it works, terms of service (22 September 2026) and App Store listing. Iterum sources: pricing, how it works, free trial and terms.

First checked on 15 October 2026, reviewed on 1 November. Corrections to the previous version: the €39 Single Location and the location-based plans are the October price list, replaced by the €19 one, so Iterum is no longer the cheaper entry plan; the POS link is no longer on every plan; the Italian pricing page no longer speaks of 30 days with a card; Iterum staff can also use the app, not only the browser. Prices and features can change: check them again before you sign up. Iterum is a service of FIDUS S.R.L. and has no relationship with Passtastic OÜ.

Frequently asked questions

How much does Passtastic cost?
According to the pricing page read on 1 November 2026, €19 a month excluding VAT, or €171 a year, plus whatever you add: packs at €9 a month, €29 for all four, an extra location €15, an extra scanner or login €4. Iterum Base costs €29.99 a month plus VAT, or €299.90 a year.
Why do I also see Passtastic at €39 a month?
That is the old price of the Single Location plan, still shown on 1 November 2026 on Passtastic’s home page («Da €39 / mese»). The pricing page now shows €19 a month, and anyone already paying for the old plan can keep it at their price. Check the total when you sign up.
Does Passtastic have a free trial?
Yes: 14 days with every pack on and up to 3 locations, with no payment card. Three days before the end you see the price based on what you used and choose what to keep. If you add no card you pay nothing and the account pauses. There is no permanent free version, and none with Iterum either, which offers a 7-day trial with a card required to activate.
Does the customer have to download an app with Passtastic?
No: they save a pass in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet from a QR code or link, and can add the «loyalty app» to the home screen without an app store. Staff, on the other hand, install the Passtastic Scanner app. With Iterum customers download nothing and staff can choose between the Iterum app and the browser.
Does Passtastic connect to the till?
Yes, per the price list with the «Connect your POS» pack at €9 a month: Square, Lightspeed X-Series, Odoo, Holded, Loggro and Siigo, plus Zapier, Make and API. The integrations page still shows them «on all plans», so ask them to confirm. Iterum does not connect to the till: staff confirm visits and points.
What is the main difference between Passtastic and Iterum?
Passtastic has a cheaper base to which you add packs, scanners and locations, more card types, table bookings, a POS link and unlimited push. Iterum has fixed-price plans that include the whole team, costs more for one location, does not read the till, and has Italian prices, terms and supplier.
