Is Tick Card free? The 3-month promotion and the free plan

Tick Card is free for customers; for the business, the public answer is not clear-cut. On 30 October 2026 the pricing section of the home page still showed the «Prova Gratis 0€ per 3 mesi» (free trial, €0 for 3 months) promotion with the line «Promo valida fino al 30 giugno 2026», a date four months in the past, while the FAQs mention «un piano gratuito per iniziare» (a free plan to start with) and «a consumo o illimitati» (pay-as-you-go or unlimited) plans to ask customer service about.

The Tick Card public pages checked on 30 October are identical to the ones read on 11 October: prices, promotion and FAQs have not changed. Before you sign up, ask in writing which offer applies today, what starts when the 3 months end and how to cancel. Iterum has a 7-day trial with a payment card at activation, described on the free trial page.

How much Tick Card costs in 2026, and how much Iterum costs

Tick Card costs much less: the Annual plan, at €59.99 excluding VAT, works out at about €5 a month, and the Monthly plan costs €9.99 a month, both with unlimited ticks and «Notifiche per promozioni speciali»; the Annual plan adds «Supporto prioritario» (priority support). The pages state no customer limit and no price for an extra business.

Iterum is paid monthly or yearly, and the annual plan is 10 months billed for 12 (Base: €299.90 a year plus VAT). To set Tick Card next to other services there is the page on how much a loyalty card costs, and the cost of rewards can be estimated separately with the loyalty card calculator.

What you spend in the first year with Tick Card or Iterum: 4 cases

Tick Card costs less in every case where it publishes a price: with annual billing the gap is €239.91 excluding VAT. In the other two cases Tick Card’s pages either don’t describe the feature or don’t give its price, so ask for a written quote before you compare.

When Tick Card may be the better choice

Tick Card is the cheapest option: on the Annual plan you spend €59.99 excluding VAT for a year of unlimited ticks, about a fifth of the €299.90 plus VAT of Iterum Base billed yearly. If you want a stamp programme at the lowest possible cost, that is a real advantage and an easy one to measure.

It also offers genuine conveniences: the card shows in the app without a signal, rewards can have several thresholds on the same card and customers find the ticks from every shop that uses Tick Card in one app. Colours, logo and name on the card can be customised regardless of plan, while in Iterum a custom colour starts on Pro. If many of your customers already have the app for other shops, their first step is even shorter.

Where Iterum can fit

Iterum (by FIDUS) can fit if you don’t want to ask customers to download an app or create an account: the card opens from a QR code or link, saves to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet on every plan and, if the customer doesn’t save it, works in the browser. Staff stamp or enter points from the «Al banco» counter app, which opens in the browser, with accounts and roles for the whole team already on Base.

Iterum also gives several stamps in one visit, up to 50: above 5 it asks for a reason, such as «Vecchia tessera» (old paper card) or «Servizio doppio» (double service), and the owner can switch multiple stamps off for staff; a stamp given by mistake can be removed at the counter within 10 minutes. Base includes automations such as «Buon compleanno» or «Ci manchi» to win back lost customers and the referral programme; from Pro, prepaid packages.

Iterum does cost more, doesn’t work offline and has no app where customers discover other shops. In the panel’s «Risultati» (results) you see visits, returning customers and redeemed rewards; Tick Card also states statistics on its most loyal customers, visit frequency and redeemed rewards.

An app to download or a card in the Wallet: what changes at the counter?

The difference shows on the first visit. With Tick Card the customer downloads the app, creates a login and shows the QR code; from then on the card is on the phone, shows without a signal and, if they change phone, they get their ticks back by signing in again. With Iterum the customer scans the QR code at the counter and, by adding the card, accepts the card Terms and confirms they have read the privacy notice, with no box to tick: they have the card straight away, but every stamp needs a connection.

Neither route is better in every case. If your business runs on regulars who already use the TickCard app in other shops, the download is no burden; if you get many new or passing customers, a sign-up with no download takes one step out of the queue at the till. The guide to a loyalty card without an app explains browser sign-up, and the one on a loyalty app or a web card compares the two routes.

Tick Card reviews: what can be checked today

People looking for Tick Card reviews mostly find the maker’s own pages and the store listings. On 30 October 2026 the Italian App Store listing showed 5.0 stars from 11 ratings, with version 1.4.0 dated 4 August 2026; the Google Play listing showed more than 1,000 downloads and no average rating. These are the views of people who use the card, not of the shops that offer it.

Iterum doesn’t publish customer reviews on these pages. The most useful test is still a normal shift, with a customer’s phone and the phone of someone who works with you: with Tick Card through whatever trial offer they confirm, with Iterum through the 7-day trial.

4 checks before you choose

  1. Test customer sign-up

With Tick Card the customer downloads the app and creates a login; with Iterum they open the card from a QR code and save it to the Wallet. Try both on an iPhone and an Android phone and count the steps to the first stamp.

  2. Ask which offer applies

The promotion on the page carries a date that has already passed and the FAQs mention a free plan: get the trial length, price, VAT, renewal and cancellation confirmed in writing.

  3. Count who stamps

If several people work at the counter, ask Tick Card how employees give ticks and what the owner sees; with Iterum, create an account for each person and test the permissions.

  4. Check data and rewards

Ask who the data controller for customer data is and how you export the list if you change provider. For a programme with free gifts, take advice on the Italian rules for prize promotions; the guide to loyalty scheme rules in Italy lists the points to check.

Tick Card or Iterum for ice cream shops, pizzerias and car washes

Tick Card publishes 64 sector pages, from ice cream shops to car washes, each with a suggested reward such as «Gelato Omaggio» (free ice cream) or «Pizza Omaggio» (free pizza). Iterum also has sector guides that explain when to give a stamp and which reward to choose: the loyalty card for ice cream shops deals with the season and the winter closure, the loyalty card for pizzerias with stamps for dining in, takeaway and delivery, and the loyalty card for car washes with the wash as the qualifying visit.

To see Iterum with your own counter and customers there is the 7-day free trial: you set up the card, threshold and reward before paying, and a payment card is needed to start the trial.
