How to start the free trial, in six steps
The Iterum free trial starts from the start flow in six steps, and the first three need neither an account nor a payment.
Your business name
Type the name of your business: it is the name customers will see on the card, and you can change it whenever you like.
Your sector
Pick the category, from café to gym: the card starts with stamps and a reward suited to that kind of business. The sector guides show what a stamp is worth in 19 businesses.
The card
Adjust the colour, reward and number of stamps and look at the preview. The QR code in the preview is a demo: the real one is generated in the panel once the card is published.
The account
Create the account with a work email and password. You must be an adult and accept the terms and the privacy notice; without an account, the work on the card would be lost.
The plan
Choose Base, Pro or Premium and how often to pay: monthly is preselected, while annual is paid in one go after the trial. The differences are on the prices and plans page.
Activation
Complete the Stripe checkout with a payment card and pay €0 today. If you cancel the payment, nothing is charged and the plan you chose stays saved, ready to pick up.
What to test in 7 days: a day-by-day plan
Seven days are enough to see the whole journey with real customers, because the trial switches on the real service of the plan you chose, not a demo.
During the trial, the features and limits of the chosen plan apply: Apple and Google Wallet, stamp or points cards and the «Al banco» app come with every plan, while messages to customers who have given consent are 2, 4 or 8 a month per location on Base, Pro and Premium. Before you offer the card, read how to promote it at the counter.

What you pay during the free trial and afterwards
During the free trial you pay €0: the first charge comes only after the 7 days, and only if you have not cancelled.
With monthly billing, the plan is charged every month from the end of the trial. With annual billing, a year's amount is charged in one go, worth ten monthly payments. Prices are in euros and exclude VAT, and the summary with VAT appears before you confirm; each plan's amounts are on the pricing page.
Payment is handled by Stripe: card details never pass through Iterum's servers.
Why does the free trial ask for a payment card?
Iterum asks for a card at activation because the trial is already the subscription to the chosen plan, with the first charge deferred by 7 days: if you carry on, the service continues without a break for you and for the customers who already have the card on their phone.
The flip side is that you must remember to cancel if you do not want to continue. That is why the trial end date is in the panel and cancelling takes a few steps from there. If you would rather test for longer, or without entering a card, the table below lists services that allow it.

If you want to test for longer or without payment details, SMSHosting, Stampioo and FaveCard allow it; Iterum lasts 7 days and asks for the card up front, but it shows you the card before you pay and the trial already runs on the plan you will keep. Free trial or free version: what is the difference?
A free trial gives you the full service for a limited time; a free version never expires but comes with limits. On the pages read on 22/10, for example, free Quardy stops at 50 customers and FaveCard's Free version gives new customers a browser card instead of a Wallet pass.

How to cancel the free trial
To cancel the free trial, open the panel, go to «Subscription» and choose «Cancel your subscription»: there is no phone call, and the question about why is optional.
If you give a reason, a single offer may appear before you confirm, such as a free call to fine-tune the card, and the «No thanks, I want to cancel» button always stays visible. When you confirm, you see the trial end date: from that day the subscription does not start and you are not charged.
Until that date you can undo the cancellation from the same page. Your customers and their history stay saved: if you come back, everything is where you left it.
If you carry on after the trial
If you do not cancel, the chosen plan starts at the end of the 7 days with the billing frequency you chose, and your customers' cards keep working without you having to do anything.
You change plan from the billing area of the panel, which shows the three plans side by side. If you go over the new customers included in a month you get a notice, but sign-ups are not blocked.
Each account has one Iterum trial or subscription at a time: if you already have one, you will find it in the panel under «Subscription», and there is no need to start another.
